Question: The rivet metal on the back of brake Pads what are their purpose?
Recently, brake pads and rotors were put on a slk 230 1999 and one of the metal pieces behind Akebono's pad was broken and the independent mechanic installed it any way and said it would be ok.
Is this true, that nothing would happen or go wrong before the next brake change?
