Question: Trac off light won't turn off;

I have a 2001 Lexus ES300, and I recently found the trac off and check engine lights on. Though I found the trac off button under my steering wheel, pressing it does nothing. I checked with the company that changed my tires last month and they suggested it might be a fuse problem. Is there anything else I should try? Should I go see a mechanic?

As a first step, have the fault codes read from the trac (abs) and engine computer.
