Question: Tranny or Diff problem?Ford Mustang 93 5.0L-AOD
Hello,
I have just had the tranny rebuilt it is AOD and the Diff was rebuilt this week, new clutch and gears 3.73.
As the transmission is under load and about to change speeds I can hear a whizzing or whistling sound from the back.
The mecanic who did the diff tells me to wait 500-600km's then he'll re-adjust the shims in the diff.
Is this the problem?
The souns is definately coming from the back and not the tranny.
As the tranny changes speeds the sound stops then returns as it gets close to changing speeds again.
thanks.
