Question: Transmission

The u-joint connection to the transmisson makes a metal to metal connection to the bell housing assembly of the vehicle causing a severe noise and rubbing issue of the joint to the metal of the car body. Do I have the wrong transmission spacer possibly?

The u-joint is connected to the tail housing. The bell housing is the part of the transmission that bolts to the engine.

Has the vehicle always made this noise or did it start recently? If it used to be quiet and is now making noise, check the engine and transmission mounts to see if there is a problem. If it has always made noise, then it is possible that the wrong part is installed.
