Question: Transmission change question

Hello, I was debating buying a car but I need it to be stickshift. I have looked around and no car that comes in stick shift is appealing to me. The car for me is the Pontiac G8 GT. They sell this in stick, but you have to pay extra for the GXP package (another 12 grand). Anyways, I found a good G8 GT online that has an auto transmission for only 23k. So I figured I'd buy that then put a manual transmission in the car. So, my question is, how much would it cost me in New Yotk City to put a 5/6 speed in the G8 GT?

Probably more than 12 grand.

You would need to change the computer, the wiring harness and modify the body to accept the manual transmission. I would recommend you buy what you want from the start. Modern cars are much more difficult to swap components than older ones were.
