Question: Transmission flush

My oil change place has told me twice my transmission fluid needs to be changed (or flushed). He'll do it for $80.00. My mechanic says no, not needed. I tend to trust my mechanic more. What is your opinion on this for a 2006 Rendezvous? (Transmission has been replaced 2 yrs ago due to problems; covered under warranty)

If it has less than 30K miles on the transmission, it is not needed.

You can check our Servicing Your Car section for service recommendations. It does a pretty good job at showing what you need at different mileage intervals..

Or you can check your owner's manual. That information should be listed in it as well..
