Question: tried to fix brake lights, now truck wont start

we tried to rewire the tail lights and brake lights, finally got them to work...even though the radio started to blink when turning on the turn signals. now the truck wont start at all. the battery is reading a full charge with a tester, until we connect the neg line. then it reads dead. this truck was working just fine before this. when we connect the black power cable to the battery it crackles with a noise. no sparks...just a funny sound...we replaced and checked all fuses as well. replaced the solinoid fuse that was burnt out and replaced the solinoid and the voltage regulator. kinda of stuck and fairly frustated at this point. thank you for helping on any level possible!

Disconnect your taillight repair and see if it starts. You may be powering something up backwards which could be causing the no start.
