Question: truck is having power surges\cut-outs

power will cut out and instantly come back, it is a fairly violent shake. The check engine light will come on but not every time it happens. it will go off when I turn the truck off and restart it. There is a slight loss of power when the symptoms start. I have replaced the camshaft position sensor and symptoms went away for a while and have come back. fuel filter is clean and has been replaced, acts like an electrical short. Seems to happen most in cooler weather but not all the time.

What are the codes from the engine computer? Sounds like you are describing a misfire or sensor cutting out.
