Question: truck will turnovefe and fire initially, will not stay running.

Car and lock symbol lights.up on dash indicators. Car was tampered with but not aware of any antitheft

It may be the antitheft system no longer recognizes your key as a good key for the ignition. When this happens, the car will start for a few seconds then die. Usually it won't start at all after that until a few hours later when the system resets.

Try a spare key. And yes, almost all vehicles (excluding fleets) have anti-theft in them now.
