Question: truck wont start after swapping engines

I took an enginefro a 2003 Ram 1500 that had a bad axle and put it on a 2002 Ram 1500 I bought.Both trucks have a 4.7 v8 magnum engine.Before I swap the engine I made sure both would start and both fired right up.Once I had the engine in the 02 ram it would crank but would start.Replaced Camshaft and Cankshaft sensors but no results.Have replaced plugs.I get fire to plugs and gas pressure ok.What else could it be,also all fuses are good.

You need to call a wrecking yard to see if the engines are interchangeable. I did a little looking and it appears the 02 and 01 re interchangeable, but not the 03, but wrecking yards have interchange manuals to tell you if it will work (not just if it will fit).

Also check the ring gear teeth on both engines, some have 32 teeth and others have 16 teeth. And they will not interchange very easily.

Lastly, check with a scantool for RPM signal when cranking. It may be a mismatch between the crank position sensor signal and the computer input because of the above stuff. If the RPM is good, and the engines do interchange, then you need to start looking at fuel issues.
