Question: vw jetta 2003 jerking and smells like gas

My car jerks after driving for 20-25 min ..it jerks on low rpms and when I came home and parked the car it smelled like gas .

Ive changed sooo much on this car in 7 months in this order

cat convertor -universal no room for o2 sensor mechanic taped it on the side

Starter

wiring

spark plugs

Thermo stats

brand new proper cat convertor from vw

cam sensor

crank sensor

alternator

more wiring

some more parts inside here and there

cleaned throttle body

Put in that cleaner in the gas

please help I dont know whats left to do from when I bought the car in jan till now its been juss getting worse where ever I cahnge something .

I dont know what it could be now

That's most likely the issue. If the O2 is on the outside, it will send a lean signal all the time to the PCM. This will result in the car running way too rich and drivability issues.

Take it back to the shop that did the work as it was incorrectly done and they should be responsible to repair it correctly.
