Question: what can cause a car to run ok on flat terrain and miss on a hill

I own a toyota corlla ae 100. It wasn't running for about 8 months. I recently got it back and running but noticed it runs ok on flat terrain but starts to buck going up hill. what's the cause

Tune up. The plug wires are breaking down. I would do a full tune up.
