Question: what causes a knocking sound while decreasing speed and stepping on brakes

knocking sound whwen speed is decreasiing or by stepping on brakes noise is on right front,it sounds like moving your tongue inside of mouith up and down real fast

You have a bad brake rotor or wheel bearing. I would jack the car up and try to move the tire from top to botton. If there is any play you need a ball joint or wheel bearing. If that is ok I would replace the brake rotor.
