Question: what could be causing this problem?

take off is fine but when i get to 50mph and mash gas it starts jerking and sputtering and makes a loud noise. sounds like suv is going to fall apart and quit. we just had oil changed and all fluid are good. we just went on a 400 mile trip ran fine no warning lights. 3 weeks later this happens out of no where with no other signs. help

Have the fuel pressure checked. Also, you should always start with the basics. Make sure the tune up items are done and check the charging and starting systems. The engine must have the basics done in order for it to be able to run correctly. Many things can cause this type of problem, and the simplest sometimes get overlooked.
