Question: What could it be

While the car is running the gages keep going up and down ( like the car is being turned on and off) and just before this happened the AC went and teh fans dont work. Are they related and what can it be?

If all the gauges are fluctuating in tandem, the problem is electrical. If it is not effecting engine performance, then it is likely in/at the dashboard gauge cluster. If it is causing problems under the hood, it could be more universal, like a battery connection, alternator or a bad ground. The first step would be to check all battery connections and have the charging system tested.
