Question: what grade of gear oil do I use ,and how much?in a standart 5 speed tran

I help the neighbors son change out vhis clutch, and now I can't get the local auto parts shop to tell me what grade and capacity I'll need. Can you help me with this?

You need a GL-5 75-90w gear oil. It iwll take about 7.0pints to 7.4 pints of oil.
