Question: what is a code 54 meen on a transmission ?

Took My Car To A Repair Shop.Had Them Run A Test On My Transmission,And It Came Back With A Code 54.If I Put My Car In Drive It Shifts Just Fine In 1st And 2nd Gear,But Doesn't Shift In Any Other Gear.What Is Really Wrong With My Car?

Code 54 is an incorrect ratio code. This doesn't really indicate the exact issue.

You probably need a replacement or rebuilt transmission. You can have the solenoids and valve body checked to be sure.
