Question: What is the story about, copper in brake fluid?

After my last oil change the mechanic said that the copper levels in my brake fluid are too high and I need to have my brake fluid flushed for $130. I have never heard of this and other mechanics I have talked to, have said it is a scam. What are your thoughts?

Total scam. You should have your brake fluid flushed every 2 years, as it absorbs water, which is not what you want in a hydraulic systems. But the copper "scam" is a pure money-maker for the shops.
