Question: What is wrong exactly?

I drove home the two blocks but in order to drive straight the wheel had to be turned 180 degrees to the right. Steering was horrendous and wheel was extremely touchy and wobbily. Whenever I pulled to the left there was a high pitched skreeching sound. I just want to know what exactly is wrong so I know how much money to save up to fix this so my car is driveable again.
