Question: what size tires can i safely change to without messing up my abs

i have 235 70 15 tire size i was told that i could move up or down no more than 3 percent and it would not harm my abs. I have smartrac all wheel drive. I was told i could change to 225 75 15, which is 1 percent off. Is this true?
