Question: what to replace

: i work at a shop and i have a 1992 mitsubishi eclipse 1.8L single cam manual transmission..i just rebuild the whole engine but i have a wasted clutch..first day i started the car after rebuilding it it sounded fine and it had power to run it but it had a check engine light on with a code number 42 (fuel pump circuit or control relay) now today i tried on checking the fuel pressure but with open switch it wouldnt read no psi at all, only if i connect the fuel pump check terminal giving voltage to the battery it would show me some psi up to 80psi(with the car off) .now the car runs but it seems not to have enough power apply to the motor i press the pedal all the way in first gear but it takes more than usualt to get to 3000rpm..i dont know if to change the fuel pump or the multiport fuel injection relay.

I would have to see the vehicle, but it sounds like your pump works. It sounds more like a relay issue. What is running fuel pressure compared to spec?

Check the voltage at the pump to make sure you are getting full battery volts to the pump. It could be the contacts in the relay are arcing and using up some of the voltage so your pump isn't running at full speed.

Car Brakes: How Do You Know When to Change Them?

By Zach Bowman For those who suffer a daily commute through heavy traffic, your vehicle's braking system can bring thousands of pounds of metal, plastic and empty Starbucks cups to a stop hundreds of times before you get to work. It goes without saying that these pieces wear out, but they do so slowly, meaning you may not notice they need attention until ...
