Question: What would be the cause of a humming sound from the front right of car under hood when car starts

When I start my car, not every time, occasionally, there is this humming sound from under the hood...right front of the car (passenger side) It may last 30 secs and then stops. It has nothing to do with the performance of the car at this time. Yesterday it happened the first 4 times I started car and didn't happen rest of day.

You will need to pop the hood and have someone start the car. Listen to for the noise. It could be a vacuum valve or the air injection system if your car has air injection.
