Question: What would cause my car to have low rev?
My car's rpm redlines at around 6.2 rpm at which point the rev limiter kicks in. My problem is that my car only revs to about 5.4 rpm before it stalls or becomes limited. I just replaced my timing belt and water pump after changing my head gasket. While the motor was apart I noticed that my vacuum switching valve was broke along with my thermal vacuum valve. I am also recieving code for my throttle position sensor and my knock sensor. Can any of these cause this problem or is it something to do with the timing?
