Question: what would make my lights dim and the car act like its losing power?

I started my car this morning and it idled fine for a minute and then the interior lights went dim and the car idled down to the poiny of almost dying and then went back to normal before doing it again.I bought this car Tuesday.

Sounds like a voltage issue. Possibly a defective battery or alternator. Have the charging system checked.
