Question: whats could be wrong with my car? please help!

when i am hitting the gas it cuts out at about 2000 rmps.. and does not rev past that and bogs.. kind of like my motor is shutting down or not getting fuel? im a little bit experience in the mechanic feild i just need ideas of what to look into? changed fuel filter, catilatic converter, a local private owned garage said it was a computer and they wasnt sure which one?

I would check your fuel pressure and flow rate. I would say you are lacking fuel flow. Also I would check the air cleaner to make sure nothing is blocking air to it. If all that is ok I would check you ignition system. It could be the distributor. The computer would be one of the last things I would replace. Most people that don't know how to fix the car say it need a computer. In most cases it does not fix the problem.
