Question: whats is the average cost of replacing the original motor with a good used motor?

the original motor in my 2005 chevy trailblazer has a rod knocking and needs a good replacement motor what would the estimated cost of a moter and laber be on average?

A shop will need to look at it to see what needs replacement, so there's no good way to give an estimate for this type of problem without seeing the vehicle.

You can get a general estimate by clicking on the “repair cost calculator” link on this site, It’s under the “ Service and Repair” tab. and looking up engine replacement. It will give you an idea of labor costs, then google how much a used motor is to figure parts.
