Question: whats wrong when the speedometer gets stuck than starts to work when you hit a small bump in the roa

The service engine lite is on, the speedometer gauge won't move, it stays on 0, but when the car gets good and hot the check engine lite goes off and the speedometer gauge works properly, till I hit a small bump inthe road or small pothole the check engine lite pops back on and the speedometer gauge is back to zero, also there is a smell. Of gas but no leaking on the ground.can you please help?

You could have a injector leaking fuel. You need to have the car inspected right away. Also on the check engine lihgt. You need a new vehicle speed sensor. That should take care of the engine light.
