Question: when changing gear into reverse a loud clicking noise is heard from the front wheel area

the clicking noise comes from the front of the car

Click or a clunk? You'll need to have it inspected to determine if it's the transmission or motor mounts or something shifting on the subframe. Getting underneath it while someone is shifting it will help isolate where the noise is coming from.
