Question: When I put gas in my car it doesn't start back up like normal

Only When I put gas in the car it will not start back up by just turning the key, I have to press the gas until it cranks up and hold it for a little while , then put the car in gear and hope it doesn't die, it usually does. I just had a new canister put in and a cylinoid changed. But neither have fixed the problem

That is an odd issue. Possibly there is a vapor lock issue with the EVAP system and that is why the canister and purge or vent solenoid was changed.

If only one of the two solenoids was changed, I would change the other as well to eliminate the vapor lock as an issue. Also I would recommend having the system smoke tested to see if everything works correctly.

My last thought is there may be something in the tank itself that is causing a restriction when the tank is filled. I'm not exactly sure what that could be (possibly something has come apart in the fuel pump like the pick up screen), but the only real way to tell would be to drop the fuel tank and inspect it.

By Zach Bowman For those who suffer a daily commute through heavy traffic, your vehicle's braking system can bring thousands of pounds of metal, plastic and empty Starbucks cups to a stop hundreds of times before you get to work. It goes without saying that these pieces wear out, but they do so slowly, meaning you may not notice they need attention until ...
