Question: When to change spark plugs

When should I change the plugs on 2000 Honda Civic. I have standard plugs in it now. 1.5yr installed
Should I install long life plugs?

Stock plugs are usually good for 25-30k. But the type of plug that was last installed will determine how long til your next replacement. It is a very good idea to stick with whatever the stock plugs are (that is what the engineers that built the engine designed for it). Usually pricier plugs are a marketing gimmick, and cheaper plugs can cause problems. Your parts store will be able to tell you what the 'stock' plugs are supposed to be for your engine.
