Question: When to change Transmission fluid and flush or not to flush?

Car shifts improperly, trying to change fluid to see if this improves situation. One dealear say NO to flush, other says YES to flush. HELP! Thanks.

If changing the fluid does not help, then a flush wouldn't help either. It is possible that dealer #1 is afraid the flush will wash particles throughout the system... I'm not sure if that would happen, but going with the fluid change over the flush seems like a safe bet. Did you ask why the recommended not flushing?
