Question: where is the electronic ignition located on a 1999 nissan quest

car shut off while driving down highway and wont start

I think your ignition modual is in the computer. When the car dies and will not restart check for spark. Then check the injectors to make sure they are working. If you don't have spark and injectors you need a crank or cam sesnor. If you have no spark and injectors work you need a ignition modual.If you have both you need a fuel pump.
