Question: Why car will start but dies after 3-4 seconds

I have a 1990 chevy cavalier i have replaced the map sensor, computer, spark plug wires,fuel filter and have a new battary and did an oil change. Before all this the car would run but now it wont stay running. I have checked the fuel pump and it is good. Any suggestions on what to do? Also the codes i keep getting is a 12

Code 12 is a nothing code. I would check the ingniton control module and the wires that go to it. When the car starts it uses the control module. After start up it uses the computer to control timing. If you hae the old computer I would put it in snd see if it will run.
