Question: Why did my car die while I was driving?

I have a 97 2.2L 4Cyl Camry with 248k miles on it.
It died on me while I was driving it, before it died the Check Engine, Oil and Battery lights all came on in the dash.
This happened right after I got fuel, I was low and put a half a tank in it and it died within 3 miles. Now when I try to start it it sounds kind of like a power drill and will not start.

Sounds like you are describing a mechanical failure.

Check the timing belt and related components. It may have broken or stripped teeth.
