Question: Why did my used Ford 2006 Taurus not always start on the first try, or just stall while driving?
Sometimes car started up on first try, other times took several tries. At times, was when weather was very cold. Also, it stalled while driving (several times). Called AAA once and the guy just looked at my battery and under hood. Told me to turn ignition on and it started right up. I asked why ... and also had him follow me as far as he was able to because I was afraid it would happen again. Frightening thing is that when it would stall, was nearly impossible to turn the steering wheel and eventually once had to drive off to side road after putting it in neutral and coasting. If there had been more traffic on the road, I believe there could have been an accident . I see many Taurus owners with the stalling problem and think Ford needs to recall these cars for that and for the unexplained sudden acceleration problems before there are fatal accidents. Last Ford I will ever buy.
