Question: Why does car intermittently not start on the first try ?

Seems like if there was a heavy rainfall, or when it's been hot outside in the afternoon. Happens sporadically. Can turn the key again & starts up.
New battery, so problem is not the battery.

It could be the fuel pump relay. I would replace it. The owners manule will tell you where it is at.
