Question: Why does my car keep shutting down after 15 to 20 minutes?
2.2L DOHC engine. I was told it from a mechanic that it was the Main Relay. Replaced it and no change. Then was told it may be the ignition switch and changed it out. No change in outcome. After running 15 to 20 minutes it dies. I was told that it may be the fuel pump now, that after the fuel has heated up it can cause the car to shutdown. I don't know if this is the case or if it has anything to do with the ignition. It completely shuts down like someone turned the key off.
