Question: Why does my car turn off while driving?
Car turns off while driving usually when idled low and slowing to turn or stop. Usually restarts. A couple of times it had to sit before restarting. Doesn't sputter or stall, just shuts off. Radio, air, lights and stuff stays on. Once the RPMs started jumping around and car shuttered like it wanted to quit, but kept running. Got new battery and had crank position sensor replaced by mechanic. Sometimes it smells like hot wires.
