Question: Why does my steering column shake intermittently?

My steering column shakes intermittently at 70+ mph. I've had my tires balanced 3 times in 2 months. My tire tread is good, new brakes, alignment is good, rims are not warped. The shaking doesn't always happen. Any help or advice you could offer would be greatly appreciated.

If it only does it when braking, your brake rotors may be slightly warped. even though they are new, it still can happen. If it isn't related to braking, I'd suspect you have a loose or worn tie rode end or a sticky ball joint. Have the suspension and steering looked at by a front end shop or the dealer.
