Question: why dont all speeds for blower fan work

the 2 low speeds for blower fan dont work but the 3 others do. it was only 1 speed but now its 2. took apart , the contacts behind knob look ok. is this a bad board or more of a resistor issue that i have heard about.

Sounds like the resistor pack for the blower motor is failing. It used to e a bunch of coils, but now most are an electronic circuit board. Both the earlier and later styles commonly still fail.
