Question: why is my 1998 dodge avenger stalling?

my car will shut off (stall) when im idling at a stop light or stop sign at that. It will turn over but not start for a few mins at a time, I was given the advice that it may be the oxygen sensor that needs to be replaced. po432 was the code from the odb so i am looking for problems that coincide with that code.

P0432 Main Catalyst Efficiency Below Threshold . You could have a pluged cat causing your problem I would have a shop test your back pressure.
