Question: Why is my car doing this?

when i start my car i have to press gas a little to keep it started as well there is a humming sound that comes from the hood in park really loud. as well as gears are rough switches just you feel it switching under you.

Sounds like you have a few issues going on with the car. You should take it in for a diagnoses and general check up.

The noises could be something in the engine, maybe a belt or bearing etc.

The rough shifts are probably a transmission issue. It might just need a service, or it may be nearing the end of it's service life.
