Question: Why is my car not moving for 15 seconds when I push the gas?

If Im stopped at a red light and then I go, my car while slowly move for 15 seconds and then take off. why is that and what do I need to do?

Sounds like a transmission issue.


You'll have to have a transmission shop diagnose whether it's in the transmission itself, or if the transmission is reacting to a sensor giving it poor data.

Make sure you check your transmission fluid level, as low level can cause this type of problem.
