Question: why is my car not starting?

I put a new battery in this car about a year ago and its already died 3 times. This is the 4th time now, which is today. We tried starting it with jumper cables and had them hooked for a good while and nothing would turn on really. So is it the batter or what? And I didn't have anything turned on in the car either.

You could have a problem with your charging system, like a bad alternator or bad connection, or you could have parasitic draw (a drain on your battery when the car is turned off). I recommend getting your charging system checked--many auto parts stores can do that for free (call around to find out which one has the right equipment).
