Question: Why is my heater not getting hot like it use to?

when i am driving the heat is warm but not hot like it use to be; but once I come to a stop it gets really cool.

How is the temperature of the engine? The heater uses the engine coolant to provide heat to the interior. If the engine coolant is staying too cold (usually a bad thermostat) the heater wont work.

If the engine temp is fine you may need to replace the heater core or at least flush it out. It may be clogged.
