Question: Why is the Engine Knocking if it has plenty of oil?

My 2005 Dodge magnum started to knock all of a Sudden?.The oil was brand new.

It’s really hard to diagnose this type of problem long distance. You'll need to have a mechanic listen to it to actually isolate what the noise is.

But if it is knocking, it could be in the rod bearings or valve train. Why did it fail is hard to say without seeing the vehicle. If the oil was low for an extended period or hadn't been changed regularly, it could have caused excessive wear, but an inspection of the engine would need to be done to see it's condition and possibly why it failed.
