Question: Why won't it start

I was driving on the highway and my car lost power and turned off. While it was losing power the oil symbol and volts light came on. The car would turn over and not start. I checked the oil and it was below the add line so I put 2 qt in and tried to start again it would turn over once again and die after 3 or 4 seconds if i put my foot on the gas as it was starting it would die after 1 or 2 seconds. Did I lock up my engine or what may be the problem?

Doesn't sounds like the engine is the issue (although it could be). sounds more like an ignition or crank position sensor failure. you should have a shop test for spark to see if that is the issue. .
