Question: will not start

recently did valve covers...took everything above apart to get to them. replace and get everything together and car wont start. starter just knocks and along with each click/knock the lights flash. all of them. got some amount of different fluids on the starter being its location. battery was ran all the way down so when i jump start it the battery seems as if it is fine but car just wont start. is definately getting fuel. is it the starter? could have to do with alternator? computer? wiring?

Charge the battery and make sure the connections are clean and tight. Check connections at starter. You could try jumping directly to the starter as well.
