Question: won't stay charged

while driving, suddenly all the dash lights will go on and go crazy, then the car dies and won;t start unless i get a jump, get home fast and plug in the charger. It will last a few days then the same thing will happen. Consequently, I only drive short distances around home.
I'm told this is a problem with this car and changing alternators doesn't help.
Your help would be appreciated.
Thank you,
John

You need to have the charging system tested. If it runs for a few days on a manual charge, it sounds more like an alternator issue than a battery issue.
