Question: wont stay in 4hi
I have a 2002 nissan pathfinder with 90,000 miles on it. I recently had the clutch and transmission replaced. The clutch was replaced because the throw out bearing was bad. The transmission was replaced because a syncro was bad. Replacement transmission has 60,000 miles on it. After everything has been replaced there are no noises from the clutch or transmission and it shifts smoothly. However, it wont stay in 4hi. It pops out after a while. It will go into and stay in 4lo. the trasnfer case hasnt been replaced and worked just fine before anything was changed. From what I have read other places the linkage might just need to be adjusted. I cant find any information on how to do this for a pathfinder. There doesnt seem to be an adjustment for the linkage. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
